[1] THIS WEEK'S MONEY SAVER: FREE Graphics Program
------------------------------------------------------------
The most popular graphics manipulation programs are
generally pretty spendy. Here's a powerful FREE
alternative:
ImageForge
allows you to do a variety of things with
images you create or edit. You can acquire pictures from
your scanner, digital camera or other Twain-compliant
device, apply special effect filters, produce your own
photo albums, simple slide shows and much more.
The program comes with painting tools and special
effect filters. It's the ultimate replacement for your
Windows paint program.

it here:

A fun site that lets you play the
stock market without risking any
real money. When you sign up, you
receive $100,000 in fantasy dollars
which you can then spend on any of
the 25,000 stocks and mutual funds
listed on the various exchanges.

[2] THIS WEEK'S COMPUTING TIP: Reload Frames
------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a trick that the Netscape browser can do with web
sites that use frames. (You know, the window appears to
be split and you can scroll one section while the other
remains constant.)
Using the Netscape browser, if you're viewing a web page
that uses frames, and you click the "Reload" button on
your toolbar, Netscape will reload the entire page,
including all of the separate frames.
But, if you just want to reload one of the frames and to
leave the others alone, move your mouse to the frame you
wish to reload and right click on it. When the popup menu
appears, select "Reload Frame" from the available options.
The selected frame will reload while the rest of the
screen remains unchanged.
You might most likely use this tip for web sites in which
the content is continually updated, such as a stock site,
or weather report.
Don't use Netscape? If you use the other popular browser,
you can right click and select "Open Frame In New Window."
This won't refresh the entire web page, but it will give
you a new version of the frame in which you're interested.

[3] THIS WEEK'S INTERNET TIP: Get Graphics
------------------------------------------------------------
When you need graphics or clip art, check out this site
that bills itself as the ultimate source for web graphics:
GoGraph.
There are extensive search capabilities, if you know what
you're looking for. If you don't, try the "Image of the
Day," "Theme of the Month," or "Artist of the Week"
links.
You can also set your search to such categories as
animated, photos, icons, clip art, 3D icons or just
use them all. Or you can search using the pre-selected
listed categories.
