[1] THIS WEEK'S MONEY SAVER: FREE-Up Disk Space
------------------------------------------------------------

More Space is an add-supported freeware program with
which you can free up hard drive space on your computer.
You can remove duplicate files, find file hogs, or get rid of
outdated files. You can also move files to the recycle
bin, archive them in a zip file, or delete them entirely.

More Space displays useful statistics about hard drives,
so you have an overview of your hard disk. It does work
with network drives, in case you were wondering.

The free version of More Space is not time-limited and
DOES NOT expire after a certain amount of days.
More Space is supported by ads with banner advertisements appearing on the main screen. The banner advertisements
do not communicate with any outside agency or third party
ad server, but are part of the free version of this program.

If you don't like ads, it's $20.00 for a code that
eliminates them.

Here's where to get More Space:

[2] THIS WEEK'S COMPUTING TIP: Find Folders Fast
------------------------------------------------------------

Do you frequently use the same folder, or is there a file
to which you often seek access? You can tweak Windows
Explorer to open that file or folder each time you open
Windows Explorer, and get faster access.

Here's how:

Right click on your current shortcut to Windows Explorer
and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu. Then select
the "Shortcut" tab. In the "Target:" field there should
be a line that ends "explorer.exe." (Without the quotes.)

Modify this line so that it reads (without the quotes):

"explorer.exe /n , /e , drive:\path\folder"

(Be to maintain the spacing and punctuation shown here
in your target field.)

And in place of "drive:\path\folder," substitute the
file or folder you want to open when you click the
shortcut. For example:

"c:\myfiles\mydocument.txt"

Incidentally, if you just want a shortcut to a specific
drive, use the drive letter and drop the "\path\folder,"
as in this shortcut to drive c:

"explorer.exe /n , /e , c:"

[3] THIS WEEK'S INTERNET TIP: Web Developer's Library
------------------------------------------------------------

Lots of sites would like to be considered the "one-stop"
source of information in their category. Here's one that
actually lives up to that title: The Web Developer's
Virtual Library
. It's an encyclopedia of web design
tutorials, articles and discussions. And it's not only a
very well organized resource, it's illustrated, too.

This is a gold mine of tutorials, examples, and links to
other great resources. It's for webmasters, web designers
and internet developers who are creating web sites with
HTML, CGI, Java, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, graphics, VRML, multimedia, animation, or scripting.

Founded in December 1994 by Alan Richmond, the WDVL is
actually one of the oldest web developer web sites. They
attempt to maintain an unbiased, vendor-neutral and
standards-based presence on the internet. The content
is painstakingly written and cross-linked to create a
unique "Webmaster's Illustrated Encyclopedia."
