[1] THIS WEEK'S MONEY SAVER: Compatibility Checker
------------------------------------------------------------
Been hankering after a new super-duper video card for your
computer, but concerned about whether it will be compatible
with your present setup?
The folks in Redmond have set up a
web page at which you
can look up most hardware and be sure it will function
properly with your current system BEFORE you buy it.
(Don't you just hate it when you shell out some hard
earned bucks and find out your new prize doesn't even
work?)
Play it safe here:
http://www.microsoft.com/hcl/default.asp
By the way, the site is typically inscrutable. HCL, for
example, stands for Hardware Compatibility List.
*-----------------NEXT WEEK------------------*
A software site with a directory
of completely free full-functioning
programs available to download. No
disable features, nags screens,
time limits, or other tricks.

[2] THIS WEEK'S COMPUTING TIP: Save Time and Space
------------------------------------------------------------
If you receive a lot of forwarded e-mails with their
layers of extraneous headers and greater-than symbols
(>) and you only wish to keep some of the information,
and you never want to see the rest of the junk again,
here's how to do it:
Hit your email program's "Forward" button, enter your
own e-mail address as the recipient, delete all the
junk from the original message, and click "Send."
You'll receive a message in your Inbox in a few
moments that you've formatted just the way you want it.
Now save it where you can find it later. Result, less
wasted space and less wasted time should you go back
to the message to find the key passages.

[3] THIS WEEK'S INTERNET TIP: Anagram Antics
------------------------------------------------------------
Did you know that parliament is an anagram of partial
men? Or, that Clint Eastwood's an anagram of Old West
Action? Someone once said, "All of life's wisdom can be
found in anagrams. Anagrams never lie." Here
is your
chance to discover the wisdom of anagrams. Enter the
word or phrase of your choice and just press a button
to receive the hidden wisdom.
(For example, an anagram of The Weekly Min-E-Zine is:
Wheeze Like Tiny Men. Tom Cruise yields: So, I'm cuter. Slobodan Milosevic
= O, I'm an evil, cold boss!)
Here are some great anagram web sites:

And for anagrams
in English, Norwegian or Spanish,

[5] Why Most Businesses Fail
------------------------------------------------------------
Most businesses fail not because of insufficient funding
or even because of negative cash flow. Most businesses
fail because those who try to start them don't know the
TRUTH about what it takes to succeed in business.
In business, as in life, the truth can set you free.
