Using the Universal Serial Bus (USB)

If you're working on an older PC and you're not quite sure
whether it is USB capable, never fear. The USB
Implementers Forum offers a free Windows utility (recently
updated to version 3.01) at its Web site,

Download and run this utility to determine once and for all
if your system is ready for USB. You'll also find some
pictures of USB ports and cables so you'll know what to
look for on the back of your PC.

Web Announcer

If you want good placement at the search engines for your
web site's URL, (Universal Resource Locator, in other
words your web site's address) you must submit it
frequently to the major search engines. Frequently means
at least monthly. That can be a lot of work.

Here's a web site that will register your web site with the
15 largest and most-used Internet search engines and
directories (like AltaVista, AOL/Netfind, Excite/Magellan,
GoTo, HotBot, InfoSeek/Snap!, Lycos, Open Text and
WebCrawler) at the same time

http://www.aptlink.com/cgi-bin/webannouncer.cgi

Web Announcer can't do all the work for you. You must
still register with the following directories individually

http://www.yahoo.com

http://www.deja.com

http://www.worldsearchcenter.com

But register with these 18 directories monthly, and you
will be going a long way toward getting high placement in
the searches.
