[2] THIS WEEK'S COMPUTING TIP: Fast Access To Files
----------------------------------------------------------
Want to know the fastest way to access a file on a
floppy or any other drive on your computer? Create a shortcut for the
drive and keep it on your desktop.
Here's how: Open either My Computer or Explorer, then
with your left mouse button, click and drag the floppy or
other drive icon onto your desktop and release your left
mouse button. Click, "Yes" to confirm that you want to
create a new shortcut, and that's it.
The next time you want to locate a file just double-click
on your new shortcut and you'll go directly to that drive.

[3] THIS WEEK'S INTERNET TIP: What Did They Say?
----------------------------------------------------------
Are you driven to distraction by the numerous acronyms
you encounter on the internet, confused by the little
smiley faces known as emoticons or just plain feeling
out of the loop because you're not hip to the jargon?
Here are two sites that can make you an instant expert,
or at least decipher this arcane information for you.
Steve Grossman has collected an online
dictionary
that will have you abbreviating with the best of them
whether you're sending e-mail, gaming, or just want to
observe good Chatiquette (etiquette in an online chat
room).
You'll find
Steve's guide here:
http://www.SteveGrossman.com/jargpge.htm
NetLingo
is another online dictionary about the Internet.
It contains hundreds of words and definitions that
describe the technology and community world of the web.
The Netlingo site
has a good list of jargon from the
simple "LOL" (Laughing Out Loud) to the rare but handy
"YMMV" (Your Mileage May Vary). Some jargon acronyms refer to
phrases containing adult language, and
this list defines those without spelling out the commonly
objectionable words.
You'll find all
your lingo questions answered here:

after I'm dead." - Some Dead Guy

getting lost and confused? To confidently send email in a
flash, and even to build your own family or business
webpages? Because you can you know - you really can.
And wouldn't you just love to know how to use those
super-duper programs without painfully struggling through
complicated help files and "techie-speak" tutorials,
before giving up in frustration?

explained for you and the magic is revealed--in plain
English!
