[1] THIS WEEK'S MONEY SAVER: PC-To-PC Teleconferencing
--------------------------------------------------------
Firetalk
is a free web-based utility that was designed to
combine all of your communication needs into one powerful
application. It allows you to have unlimited worldwide
PC-to-PC calls, instant messaging, voice mail, conference
calling, and voice chat. And you can surf with friends as
you talk. You can talk to any Firetalk user anywhere,
anytime for as long as you like, for free.
If you need to make conference calls, you can include as
many people as you want in a single call.
Firetalk comes with a powerful utility called Internet
Test. This utility traces the route and the quantity of
the connection to any selected address on the Internet.
To use Firetalk you will need a full-duplex sound card
(there's an area on the web site to check your sound
card and to tell you what full-duplex is). You'll also
need to download the free software to make Firetalk work.
Here's
where you can get Firetalk:

[2] THIS WEEK'S COMPUTING TIP: Changing File Associations
----------------------------------------------------------
File associations are connections between an individual
file, like a document you're composed in your word
processor, and the word processor program itself. So if
you double click on a file, the correct program will open
up that file.
Sometimes as you add software to your computer, the newer program gets
registered or associated with the type of file you would prefer to continue
to open with your old
program.
To be able to open the files in your preferred program,
and to still be able to open them with your new program,
you must set the default association to the program that
you prefer.
To change the default file association of a file type,
simply select the file in Windows Explorer with a single
left click, hold down your shift key, and click the right
mouse button. Select "Open With," from the pop-up
menu, and choose the program you want to use for this
file type.
Now when you double click on a file of this type in
Windows Explorer, your preferred program will open it,
but you'll still be able to open this type of file from
within your new program.
Select "Always use this program to open this type of file"
at the bottom of the dialog box, only if that is what you
really want.

[5] A Personal Recommendation: Powerful Site Promotion
----------------------------------------------------------
Here's
a site that has cornered the market on effective
web site promotion techniques. On the web, unless you
promote your site, you're just a needle in a haystack.
These people PROVE that they know how to get traffic
to your website. In fact, they AVERAGE 20,000+ hits a day and they PROVE
it by letting you see their traffic
stats for yourself.
Every single one of the 15-million e-commerce sites on
the internet needs to get traffic like this to make
money - whether you're marketing antiques or casinos.
The best part is that you can also make a really great
STEADY, CONTINUING and SIGNIFICANT income EVERY MONTH by referring people
- and it's FREE to start.
If getting more traffic to YOUR website is important,
or if a FREE reseller program that shows you EXACTLY
how to make a STEADY and REALISTIC income on the
internet is what you need, then just check
out this
web site:
