[1] THIS WEEK'S MONEY SAVER: Be Briefed
--------------------------------------------------------

Here's a site which provides free weekly e-magazines
filled with news, site reviews and article summaries that
can serve as briefings on your choice of topics. They
cover the range from computer programming and the Internet to sports and leisure activities.

The information is delivered in what are called
BRIEFME
e-magazines filled with news, site reviews
and web article summaries. Each BRIEFME topic has several editors who write the reviews and summaries.
The publisher then selects the best of the submitted items and publishes the complete BRIEFME e-zine by
sending it to the subscribers.

Each BRIEFME typically contains six to 10 reviews or
summaries.

[2] THIS WEEK'S COMPUTING TIP: More On Your Desk Top
----------------------------------------------------------

Are you one of those people who maintain a neat and well
organized desktop? Or are you more like me, with icons
aplenty?

If you still have some real estate left on your desktop
but your taskbar is full, you can easily detach a toolbar,
including the "Quick Launch" bar from your Windows Taskbar to make it a floating object, which you can then move wherever you like.

To see what this is all about, left-click and grab the
handle on the left side of the "Quick Launch" bar and
drag it to the middle of your Desktop and then let go.
If you did it correctly, you'll now have a configurable
window filled with some clickable shortcuts.

To create a new toolbar, right-click on your Taskbar,
select "Toolbars," then "New Toolbar."

To put things back the way they were left click and
drag back to where you started.

[3] THIS WEEK'S INTERNET TIP: Web Pages That Suck
----------------------------------------------------------

Vincent Flanders is a designer and web maven who got
so tired of some of the stuff he saw on web sites that he
decided to make an example of some of them - an
example of what you should avoid.

Flanders uses real-life examples to demonstrate bad web
site design and to teach you how to avoid such pitfalls as
"non-intuitive navigation" and pretentious home pages.
The site is based on his book of the same name. He also provides links to other web design information and resources.

[5] A Personal Recommendation: Learn From A Pro
----------------------------------------------------------

I just received a note from a colleague with whom I've
been involved for the past year. His name is Corey Rudl. Unlike a lot of so-called web authorities (who are often
just instant experts whose expertise turns out to be smoke and mirrors and a lot of hype) Rudl has been successful with several web ventures. He gets over four million
visitors every year, does over 5.2 million dollars in sales online annually (yes that's $5,200,000), and he's
personally made hundreds of thousands of dollars from
his online business. And he did it all from one small office.

Rudl specializes in very unique and powerful Internet
marketing ideas and techniques.

If you are considering starting a business on the Internet
or you already own one, you will want to see his web site.
Here he REVEALS all his tips, tricks and techniques for
starting a financially successful business on the Internet.

He discusses everything you ever wanted to know about
starting your online business. Or if you already have a
business online, he reveals exactly how to promote it to
make a fortune on the Internet.

Here's where you can find his website:

http://www.yournetsuccess.com/imc/

Check it out. There are lots of tips and plenty of
information. I think you'll be very impressed. Corey is
one of the very few on the Internet who not only knows
what he's talking about, he's actually done it.

Thanks.
