I Can See Clearly Now

Do you have a preference about what size the window
will be when you start an application? You have the
power to dictate whether programs open maximized (full screen), minimized (as just an icon on your task bar), or normal.

Right click on any icon on your desktop and all the way
on the bottom of the pop-up menu click "Properties."
Then click the "Shortcut" tab and look for the "Run" box.
Click the little arrow on the right, and you can choose
between Normal Window, Maximized and Minimized

You can also do this with any of the icons in your Quick
Launch toolbar. These are the tiny icons to the right of
your Start button. They're customizable just like any
other shortcut.

Quickly

Quick Clipping

Do you do a lot of clipping art from the internet? You
can save non-linked images from web pages instantly. Rather than right-clicking and saving them, just drag and drop them onto your desktop.

You might get a Windows prompt to add the GIF or
JPG to your Active Desktop, but just say no. Instead,
just drag and drop the image directly into a folder. Create
a shortcut to your favorite image folder and put it on your desktop. You'll find that it's quicker than having to
manually designate which folder to save your image in
every time, and you get the same results.
