They Won't Laugh Anymore When You Sit Down to the Piano

Piano On The Net is a free public education service for
learning to play the piano. There are 34 lessons divided
into starter, intermediate, and advanced levels for
progressive learning.

Each lesson takes about 35 minutes to complete.
Publisher Clinton Clark says that from lesson number five
on, the course uses audio with the Apple QuickTime(TM) plugin, and a 4.0 browser or higher is required.

Are Your Icons Doing Strange Things?

Before you try using this tip, print out the text so that
you'll have a guide to follow.

If your Control Panel or Desktop icons are behaving
strangely, for example the wrong icons are showing up or
the icons are black, a file called the ShellIconCache is
probably damaged.

The easiest way to fix it is to remove it and let Windows
create it anew. Here's how:

Start Windows in Safe mode by holding down the CTRL
key and restarting. When the Startup menu appears,
select "Safe Mode," and press Enter. Next, make sure
you have Windows Explorer set to show hidden files. To do so, open any Explorer window, select "View,"
"Folder Options," click the "View" tab, and under "Advanced Settings," select "Show All Files." Now
open the Windows folder and locate the
"ShellIconCache" ile. Right-click this file, select
"Delete," and if asked, click "Yes" to confirm. Restart Windows 98 and ShellIconCache will automatically be
created again. This time your icons should be restored
to normal.

Note: starting your computer in Safe Mode will most
likely rearrange all of your desktop icons. So if you have
a custom arrangement, you'll need to manually restore it
when you finish this procedure.
